Has anyone played this already? It was released a few days ago. It looks cozy and I wanted to play it even downloaded it, but I've not installed it yet.

It's supposed to be a game in the spirit of old games like Pharao, Caesar, Zeus (Impressions Games the developers are called). I didn't play any of those, so nostalgia isn't really a pulling factor for me. I just had a look at the the open source implementation of Caesar a few weeks ago.

Just watched the trailer, looks too complicated for me.
Happens to me all the time with games like this, I just build and build for a few hours and then either my economic system breaks down or some NPC enemy runs over my little village and everything ends within the blink of an eye.

Rn I'm playing pic related, it's quite good so far.

played pharao a lot, and a bit of zeus, but did not like the artwork there as much.

if the road system works similar to pharao then the town in the pic you showed i highly ineficient (though i prefer to build nice looking cities too).

will not buy it though, im pretty certein it will not keep me playing for very long.
