At the moment I'm employed to start a vineyard jerb on Tuesday, but I'm yearning to work in a supermarket as a nightfill stocker to earn better bucks and for that free food and discounts. Or maybe I'll become a vqccine guinea pig and make 4k dollarydoos.

My friends stole 2kg of manuka honey from work and gifted it to me.
Feels good, but my stomach feels bad man.

What's manuka honey?
New ZealandBernd2021-02-07 09:02:39 · 5yNo. 109037reply
Honey harvested from manuka trees. It gives it a slightly different taste with more medicinal qualities, if I remember well enouvh.

As someone who has run a business, I can testify, I have to fire people every time they jack up the minimum wage. They do this at the state level, when I'm living out here in the country where we can't pay city wages. It's the stupidest fucking policy.

The shame of it is I can't employ white teenagers for menial work and experience. That was always a win-win and gave our kids some sense of money and responsibility. They destroyed all that.

That's an American experience, related to your idiosyncrasies and not usually repeated in the rest of the world.
New ZealandBernd2021-02-12 06:23:11 · 5yNo. 109512reply
It's don't. Syrup comes from processed sugars not honi.
RussiaBernd2021-02-12 06:39:46 · 5yNo. 109514reply
Can't you cut your expenses by modernizing production/processes? That way you could have saved salary.
What if you didn't need that person you fired in the first place? Seems like your business does not collapse without one single man, maybe he wasn't mandatory required at all?
FinlandBernd2021-02-12 10:01:34 · 5yNo. 109526reply
Ah! Thanks for knowerings.

Just increase the price of your services, allyour competitors are in the same situation as yourself

It's so many cases don't.
FinlandBernd2021-02-12 12:12:45 · 5yNo. 109531reply

This will kill all small business except Amazon who "coincidentally" happens to favour minimum wages.

Also a gas station on the countryside with 5 customers would be forced to pay equal labour to a station inside a big city with 50000 customers. There needs to be differences in salaries.
FinlandBernd2021-02-13 09:17:02 · 5yNo. 109582reply
"Favoring minimum wages" does not give Amazon an advantage over small businesses that also pay the minimum wage. Whatare you trying to say even?
FinlandBernd2021-02-13 09:22:19 · 5yNo. 109583reply

Amazon will be able to pay minimum wages, also automate further. Competitors; small businesses, won't. Profits and competition will be concentrated further among less companies.

In other words; every single job which productivity is less than 15€/h, will disappear.
FinlandBernd2021-02-13 12:42:05 · 5yNo. 109585reply
and that's good thing

in a time lile this, only big corporations that can afford to invest in the latest and most advanced technology should be allowed to exist; the only exception are small tech start ups since they are a necessary driver of technological development
FinlandBernd2021-02-13 12:56:29 · 5yNo. 109587reply

Why is it a good thing and why should only companies like that be allowed to exist?
FinlandBernd2021-02-13 19:35:11 · 5yNo. 109622reply
because they invest in the latest, greatest technology whileas small companies it's don't
