Finding some books is impossible on the interbutts.

I wish I knew french.

It's quite easy to learn. If only I knew Russian, then I could read all those untranslated Russian boogs

Just how bad you can be at googling?

Literally took me 5 minutes.
Also de Sade is based.

I listened to one of his works as a German audiobook once. The old-timey German sexual language was ebin, but everything got boring and repetitive after a while.
>grille is raped and mistreated in a horrible way
>she escapes
>grille is raped and mistreated by another person in another horrible way
>escapes again
>rinse and repeat
RussiaBernd2021-02-04 13:26:41 · 5yNo. 108790reply
Repetitiveness is justified, it makes the whole story look natural.
That's the good depiction of real life thing: hoes don't learn their lessons from the first time, they can't spot an aggressive abusive partner, then they accuse that person with rape.

I've wasted so much time writing fetish erotica with that thing, it's ridiculous.

de Sade wanted to illustrate something else about real life: Bad things happen to morally good people, too. So he has a story about an innocent girl being raped and raped and raped and raped.
FinlandBernd2021-02-04 20:19:10 · 5yNo. 108814reply
It was more about him putting his own experiences about torturing a girl he once kidnapped into erotica format
RussiaBernd2021-02-04 20:19:54 · 5yNo. 108815reply
That's the one way to look at that. But I think there were two innocent girls, why the second one wasn't innocent? She just liked sex. I think it was “bad things happen to all people, so why worry? relax and enjoy”.
Or why the second one wasn't an innocent?

Sade was much more a perverted psychopath than a philosopher, or anything else that is constructive

Says an American. These characteristics are subjective, and American society loves to create victims of people making concise decisions and brand totally normal people with insanity.
In other words, I would believe if some European citizen said that, but not a Mutt.

I'm on an antiquated Alcatel running android 6.0. You cannot possibly imagine the countless hours I've dislocated from my life in waiting for minor pages to load and successively reloading them as thr page crashes.

I read the short text last night in my free camping spot, which was a bit annoying with the mosquitoes bitting my hands. Overall it wasn't so groundbreaking for nowadays but I can understand why he was imprisoned for such sacrilegious works.
RussiaBernd2021-02-04 20:46:58 · 5yNo. 108824reply
It shouldn't be groundbreaking in the first place. It's just like good old comedies and tragedies of ancient Greece. Just good book on questions of moral and pleasure.

Yeah. I wonder have you ever heard French people living in France and speaking English in real life? I have. They can't produce half of the sounds English language has properly.

Okay, do agree. But only because I assume you aren't familiar with the philosophical tradition of ancient Greece and how they arranged their treatises.
If you could have read at least Plato's Symposium you could have seen that de Sade's works somehow have the similar way of injecting philosophical reflections between the scenes of bestiality. The way the ancient used to talk about philosophy isn't how modern people do see it nowadays, they had pretty simple discussion about simple things like pleasure or desire. And they didn't depict raping women in the treatises only because they like to rape boys. And nobody cares about boys nowadays, so nobody calls them schizos.
