Why do I love the idea of hording and collecting stuff so much?
The thought of having my own private library and a big walk in pantry makes me feel all fuzzy inside. Maybe even add a nice music corner, too.

Can Bernd relate? What is it that you collect or would like to collect?

>Why do I love the idea of hording and collecting stuff so much?
Because you have compulsive hoarding disorder.

>Can Bernd relate? What is it that you collect or would like to collect?
Yep, I collect books. One life should be perfectly enough to read everything I've already bought, but as I see I won't stop at this point. Books are everywhere and on every horizontal surface in my home.

Just some thought on the subject: in Soviet Russia every person had had compulsive hoarding disorder. Things were scarce, and nobody knew when you would need one or another. People were filling up all empty spaces with literally everything they could grab.

Do you read/cook alot or do you really just want to hoard stuff?

>What is it that you collect
I guess in the age of spotify and such I am a hoarder of digital music files.

I collect books too, mostly scifi from my father’s library currently. In addition I have begun hoarding special editions of childhood favorites like Watership Down, they look great on the shelf and are beautifully illustrated and bound.

Then there’s my e-reader, it must have more books than my whole physical library. Likely reached the point I can’t read all of them in this remaining lifetime.

I mostly read book digitally. But having a physical copy feels better and especially series look nice on a shelve.

I also like to cook stuff, if I have the time and space. But I think with food it's more about organizing something and feeling prepared.

I like to collect fossils. Because of where I live this means I mostly have fossils of marine invertebrates (brachiopods, sponges, corals and so on)

My sweater collection is getting out of hand, my cigarette pack collection is getting out of hand, my Soviet pin collection is getting out of hand, my book collection and my jacket collection too.
I can't throw a single collectible out but none of them has any resell value. I mean some jackets really do, but they are too good to be sold.

When I put up a sweater from Soviet Era my ex-gf tells me that it's horrible. I couldn't even wear it at home. -_-
Could you share some pics of your collection of fossils? It sounds interesting.

I don't like hoarding and collecting. The thought of an ascetic and minimalist life is much more appealing to me.

That looks nice in a hotel, as a place to live it would be retarded because you'd have nothing to read or do stuff with.
