Switching tabs forces images to be loaded again? I though browser caching should work and no actual data should be transferred.

You have to right click on go to thread button

Temp account is guest account and subject to be disposed, so you may lost ability to edit your posts and lose ignored messages history, it also more convinient to login on multiple devices, altho temp account supports that too but it has only random password.

Yes its just your credentials to log in, nobody else can see it.
