Murica! I herd your polititians and mass media wants to turn you against us. Tell me, how many times a day you hear Russia(the most peaceful country) is evil? How many people buying that? How has this changed over time in the last 10 years?
There is an estimation 15% of Russians believe the poisoning story, Levada-Center poll says. That's shocking to me.
Too many people here read Radio Liberty, Voice of America, Deutche Welle and such. (I read western news from time to time but only those that are intended for the westerner audience.) There are also Russian media with anti-Russian agenda, including ones existing on government money sadly.
Tons of political YouTube channels who teach population to hate their country. And even some non-political entertaining YouTubers would tell you how the bloody Kremlin kills people and will kill you too. (To those who speak Russian, it was ЛАРИН I stumbled upon. Utterly disgusting.)
Both are correct. Russia is an omnipotent omnipresent evil empire and a bunch of incompetent fools at the same time.
Polls like the one I mentioned show you are minority, and the majority is not affected by anti-Russian media. Majority doesn't hate their country. If you think else, it's only out of your ignorance.
When you watch YouTube and see only anti-Russian videos, it doesn't mean all videos on YouTube are anti-Russian. It only means that YouTube shows you only anti-Russian videos because that's what you are after, and you'll spend more time on YouTube this way. It's how algorithms of YouTube, or social networks like Twitter work.
Discarding my opinion by saying I am a "bot" is a disgusting trick that tells a lot about you. I know you were taught to imply everyone who posts about Russia and doesn't say Russia is bad is a "bot", so you wouldn't be contaminated with non-Russophobic points of view. That's a weak position though, and it won't do anything good for you.
