I also find it annoying when people sperg out about paying for media instead of pirating it.

Disney+ was launched in Finland yesterday, my father bought a year's subscription just so we can watch all of the Star Wars together.

People should pay for their media if they have the means, pirating is for those 3rd world youth with no monies for entertainment.

Which is your favorite series?

I can't really say, I can only give pros and cons:

TOS: This one I like the least. Old fashioned and often long winded.

TNG: +feels best quality overall; -no progression or story arcs -little fun

DS9: +many fun and interesting characters; -weird story about the prophets

VOY: +solid series, but probably one of the weaker ones; -nerfed Borg -many bland characters

ENT: +great captain +great stories about Vulcan-Human relationship; -limited number of characters, feels smaller scale with no real upsides to that

The show is cool, even though usually I don't care about Mandalorians.

Agree with this except TOS i liked it the most. Also new Soy Trek is watchable after season 2 when they introduce male protagonist.

I’m not done with ENT and haven’t started STD yet, so I didn’t mention it. But I’m curious to see what it’s like after all the buzz.

Season 1 is uber shit, but it still worths it because of CGI imo.

I never really bothered watching all of Star Trek. I used it as a background noise during those times when I wasn't shitposting. Terrible times honestly. Sometimes I do miss the comfy noise of falling asleep to a random series on /1701/ and waking up to an entirely different series.

 

From the fragmented mess of episodes I've seen.

TNG > TOS > DS9 (later seasons) > ENT > DS9 (earlier seasons) > VOY

Haven't seen STD, so no opinion.

 

I should move onto reading the books. I can't process tv shows anymore like I used to.

I never bothered with GoT. I honestly can't remember the last show I binged. Nowadays I play too much tetris or play guitar/harmonica.

I collect figures from franchises I like, I've never had a SW collectable though. Should I invest in a 2016 Disney Kylo Ren doll when you can still get them for a reasonable price from Ebay?
