its the first start trek i actually liked, later writing changes and characters start to act a bit retarded but it didnt bother me a lot i still liked it overall.

What do you think about Star Trek Enterprise? I just started season 3 and I like it a lot. Last year I started with TNG and have seen DS9 and VOY, too. I've heard there was a drop in quality since TNG but I've enjoyed the other series, too.
Depends on your definition of good. It is definately cheesy. And its very old but todays standards. The props are really low quality.
See pic related. Its just a flatiron for ironing clothes. But it worked at the time. Also there is just one series of seven episodes. So it's not a lot to watch. Also note that it is the first ever german sci-fi TV series (the cheap novelettes of Perry Rhodan started 5 years earlier, in 1961/62)
ent is bittersweet imo
for one it was the start of the edgy/grimdark theme which now prevails over all nu-trek, which was a mistake.
tho admittedly it wasnt nearly as bad as nu-trek.
but then it kinda sucked for the first half of its run, and RIGHT when it started to hit its stride:

TNG wasnt even really that good until near the end of 2nd season, and then it went on to be one of the most classic tv shows of its era
same thing with DS9 imo. 1st season kinda sucked and the acting was all over the place, but then they really got it together.
ent didnt hardly even get a chance, and the actors were all just starting to get into their roles, but muh tv studio dicks axed it anyways.
anyways, i remember being kinda let down with it as a kid, but last time i watched it the only thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was the post-911 era "we gotta go kill dem ebil terrorist muzzi-i-mean-aliens" iraq war agitprop that is littered across the whole xindi arc.
it was an alright show that imo was about to get great
but then they fucked us all and gave us blue balls for like a decade or so, only to come back with JJtrek and then, when we least expected it, tried to poz all our negholes with STD
now i hear theres yet another nu-trek series that im supposed to ignore and it all just makes me wanna start drinking again tbh
She isn't really my type with the fake tits and thinness that was all the rage in the early 2000's, but I felt really bad for her in the episodes where the one Vulkan forced her to mind-meld or when she was discriminated against by the other Vulkans because of it. I wanted to wrap her in a blanket and make her tea to make her feel safe and loved :3
They look kinda fake to me tbh. In any case, I'm not a big fan of her looks. She is an attractive lady, but there are plenty of actresses I'd prefer. So I'm not saying I was immediately lusting over her when I first saw her on the series. But she grew on me and I liked the development of her character during the series.
