I was speaking to the creator of Lynxchan today. He said he won't add web sockets to Lynxchan because it's too much overhead and that ajax long polling consumes less resources.
 
What do you think about this? I would like to know the creator's thoughts, since this site does use web sockets.

Its literally around 1000 lines of code if you count backend. Polling is more resource heavy cause it invokes database queries and its not instant. Generally polling is a thing of the past.
