Two fun facts about the show:
1) The haircuts are probably more historically accurate than in the show "Vikings". For example the one where the back of the head is shaved.
2) In the first episode, they show an ættestup. Allegedly it was custom in viking times that old people jumped to their death from high places, so that they wouldn't be a burden on society. Most likely, this was never actually done. There are many places that were allegedly used like this but there is no archeological evidence. (No shattered bones there or in other burial sites.) Most likely people after the viking age liked to fabricate this myth to use "le old barbarian times" as a counterexample to new, more social times. Most Norwegians think this is historical fact, though.
