>Papes
It's such a weird word. Who came up with this? There was a time in my youth where I switched to Blättchen though.

in slovenia we call them rizle)

wallies? like, wallpapers?

no clue, blättchen has one more syllable so I don't think I'd ever use that word

I guess it's based on Rizla, the brand for rolling papers? That makes somehow sense.
SloveniaBernd2022-02-28 21:27:49 · 4yNo. 139416reply
correct (rizle being plural of rizla)
historically we also e.g. called toothpaste kalodont but that's a boomer thing now
GermanyBernd2022-02-28 21:31:53 · 4yNo. 139418reply
how do you call it now?
SloveniaBernd2022-02-28 21:58:44 · 4yNo. 139424reply
(zobna) pasta (which is just toothpaste translated)

I always preferred zigzags over rizlas, but the bamboo rizlas are great. Not sold in Canada. Raw are an excellent alternative if the only available are rizlas, zigzags.
