im scared to steal food in Germany, because here at least no security guards in the store so all responsibility is shifted to the cashiers, so i could steal at least two sodas and few chocolate bars (don't blame me i was in middle school)

Well you just gotta do it right, and rule 1 is not to steal in the market that you always visit. Doing it repetitively is what blows your cover.

Let's say you visit a new town. It's an easy chance to get some spices or other small expensive things, nobody will ever notice.

it was a Christmas, i had to prepare a present for my friend, so the evening before Christmas i stole a toblerone, kinder egg, chocolate bar and soda can (i don't remember exactly) right in crowd of people, and sneaked out of the store unnoticed as well
