Why is South America third world?

>full gold and silver mines
> more oil than the arabs
>practically grows food everywhere
>perfect weather neither too cold nor too hot

What went wrong?

The simple answer is that Spanish colonialism was in charge of having the population poor enough not to rebel but not so extreme that there would not be a revolution.
When the wars of independence began, Spain was hardly even in America, the rulers had been born and raised in America,
So when the Spanish left, the same system remained, under the same rulers as before, only that it has been modified over time
The problem is that we are still wild monkeys, if they do not apply a heavy hand to us we become destructive

I have a work colleague who has 50% Nicaraguan blood and usually he is calm but when he gets angry his blood starts to boil and he can't control what he does. As a child he was often told to not say the wrong things because it could get him killed.

If this applies to most other people from that region, perhaps this is the problem?

Countries are what they are because of the people who live in them.

this...
Socialism/communism is corrosive and does a lot of damage to a country, the few countries that have been saved tend to have a resentful opposition waiting their turn, slandering, and when they achieve their goal by taking power, they don't leave, and the shit completely.
