I can't fathom having gf and ignoring her because of kc. But there are people who have gfs they don't actually like that much, which I could never understand. I'd rather not have a gf at all than someone I just barely tolerate.

Preferring something over time with your gf doesn't mean you barely tolerate her, maybe you just want to do something else right now. You wouldn't want spend all your time with one single human for the whole life, and she wouldn't want that either, and that's totally okay.
