I read most of them as a teenager at the library. There is one where they visit the Goths who are divided into East and West Goths and speak in Fraktur.

The goths also seem fond of Pickelhauben and Swastikas for some reason

Kinda. But he is visiting Sarmatians, so it has nothing to do with Russian stereotypes, unlike when he visited the Britons or Swiss.
