First I was pretty anxious. I haven't really wörked or gone outside much since the pandemic started and I have been Bernd-tier my whole life anyway. So I packed my backpack with a lot of stuff I might need. I was also very worried about oversleeping, but I managed to wake up and go there in time just fine.

The office was pretty comfy. Only my boss(female) was there and we talked a bit about what would be going on and what I wanted out of that internship. My coworker(female), who was supposed to train me, wasn't there yet so I got send to get something from the mail.

I walked through the city for quite a while because the tobacco shop, where the parcle had been delivered, was very hard to find. I also got stopped by a barefoot bum asking for help, I assume money, but I just said sorry and continued on my way to the shop. I never go inside such shops, very small, sold smoking accessories and very expensive chewing gum. (4€ for a pack of 10 gums. I bought like 50 for 2€ at a different store.) They also sold titty mags, which I found odd. Once I had the parcel, I went back to the office and my coworker was there.

She showed me what I would be doing for the first while. Putting articles about local events into a content management system so they could go up on the website. We get e-mails from the people hosting these events and then we have to copy paste a bit and make the page nice. Was pretty easy work tbh. It is a complicated system and I made some mistakes, but I think I handled it very competently and learned fast.

Then it was time for lunch break. At this point it started raining and the office seemed more comfy than going anywhere else. I just went to the nearest bakery and got a sandwich and a muffin and went back. On the way back I encountered the second beggar. I also saw a very beautiful girl. She had a very friendly and wholesome face and just wore a sweater in the rain. She also had noticeably big boobs and didn't wear a bra. I felt like I wanted to hug her and be comfy and warm with her, looking out the window, enjoying the rain, hugs and a warm cocoa. But we were outside, I didn't have a reason to talk to her and I had work to do. So I went back to the office and spent the rest of the day putting events on the website.

At the end my boss and I chatted a bit, I found a bug on the website we are going to look into tomorrow and she gave me a book to read. (Our office gets free books for publicity and stuff.)

Wörk is in inner city, quite big. I encountered two beggars, which isn't a lot.
Once I lived in a smaller city and encountered twelve beggars on my way to uni, to shop and back home.

...I forgot to add something. My boss asked what kind of career I was looking to get into. I answered truthfully and her response was: "It's honest work, but it doesn't pay much." Now I'm bummed because I don't want to be poor, but I don't have a better idea.

Regarding harem: It is normal for me to always be surrounded by women. But boss is grey haired and older than my mom and my coworker seemed as disinterested as most girls and younger women I'm around professionally. That being said, I don't really want to flirt in the workplace anyway.

In the city I was before I was asked for directions maybe 10 times, for some kind of promotional thing maybe 10 times, begged for money surely 50+ times and rambled at by a schizo for an hour once. It was never someone just wanting to chat or anything.

Today after work I needed to buy something, so I was on my way to a shop through the business area of the city. Halfway there, a grille approached me. She was clearly in a team of 3, all girls wearing some kind of name tag approaching strangers. She saw me and said "You look likeable, do you have two minutes?"

Now I'll have to describe what happened in my head in a split second. I saw her wearing a tag and coordinating with others, approaching others. So she was clearly doing some kind of job. Doing some kind of advertising or whatever. I was sure she didn't approach me out of private interest. For several years, literally nobody has approached me in public for anything else than begging money (90%), asking directions (5%) or doing some kind of advertising (5%). It actually hurts me. Sometimes I see a friendly face asking nicely if I can talk to them and some long forgotten part of my brain sparks up with joy, yearning for human interaction. The thought of someone seeing me and wanting to talk to me makes me very happy. But then they have some bullshit story I heard a couple of times already or just straight up ask me for money and then all that joy is washed away with the realization that these people just see me as a walking ATM or a means to a different end. They wouldn't want to talk to me for any other reason.

So all I did in response to the grille was open my eyes slightly and shake my head. She said "Too bad. But you still look likeable." and we both went our seperate ways.

Today was a nicer day.

A coworker(female) I hadn't been introduced to yet was at the office for the first time since I started and she is really nice. I will be working together with her in the office tomorrow without anyone else there.

I could accomplish all my tasks at the office easily today. Maybe I even worked a bit too hard since I breezed through 6-7 hours of work with barely getting up from my desk. (My back hurts a little, now.) I also got next wednesday off, since I won't be needed at the office and I will probably use my day off to visit a museum or read in the park, get some stretching and exercise in and visit a nice cafe or restaurant.

After work I had a date with a girl I met on a dating app. She was a really laid back hippy sort of girl who was really nice and was easy to talk to. We walked around, met a friend of hers accidentally on the street (really fun guy, I felt like having a friend circle :)) and then had some tea and a cookie in a park. Then she went home to write some applications or something. Wasn't really like a romantic date, but it was fun hanging out with her and I felt like having a fren.

Then I went home, got some stuff from the store, including readymade sushi and watermelon and pineapple which I ate and now I'm telling Bernds about my day.

I enjoy looking shabby and regarding the smell, it can't be solved. I can scrub myself red and exit the shower with a heavy musk still present.
I stopped caring a few years ago, but at least I have new hiking shoes now.
GermanyBernd2021-08-20 12:05:03 · 5yNo. 120604reply
Scrubbing yourself red certainly won't help. The smell might either be your clothes or your body and both won't be helped with aggressive scrubbing. It might even be your own perception that is flawed. Maybe you smell normal, but perceive it as stronger.

I have been basically "loaned" to another person as a free assistant for an evening event. I had a minor job to do before and after the event and during I could watch like a paying audience member. The person I was helping out didn't bother talking to me more than necessary, didn't look me in the eye and when my job was done they just told me "you're dismissed" and walked away. No "goodbye". There was also a moment before when I had a minor question and they just gave a pretty bs answer and then ignored me.
