I'm planning to play Oblivion against.
Any tips for getting the most fun out of the game? I'll be reading up on efficient leveling and stuff, because I remember getting fights at higher levels getting tedious and I want to defeat my enemies quickly. I also want to do more magic, as I've never really explored that aspect of the game. But playing a pure mage seems annoying, too.
Any advice?

Haven't played oblivion, but I know that there is a mod that makes characters look less like potato-headed abominations.

So, I guess I'd recommend oblivion character overhaul version 2, and some other aesthetic mods.

I didn't have mods in mind, just tips for gameplay.

maybe it will be fun to play a dialog oriented build.

I don't think Oblivion has enough dialog options to make that fun, tbh. Although I've always thought it might be interesting to roleplay as a rich aristocrat in the Imperial city.
