When I was little my mother worked at this daycare for lower-class people, but the black directress was a fraudulent bitch and didn't give parents and employees the necessary tax returns or paperwork or some shit. Eventually the Dutch IRS cracked down on her and immediately sank every parent and employee in massive amounts of debts, because they suspected everyone was fraudulent.
Fast forward to 2020, the government admits that the IRS was acting illegally and irresponsibly costing the good fortune of many families. Some guy killed himself, many divorced and others stopped working. They compensated most parents for €30,000 at the base, with depending on circumstances higher pay-outs. My mother received €40,000 and now is suing for more.
Now the Dutch government is also discussing how they will compensate the adult children of the parents, since the children supposedly also were affected by the financial devastation (look where i'm posting on a weekday, proof enough).
So it's not a matter of if they will compensate me, but when and how much. I expect the sum to be enough for a trip to Japan which, after negating possible denbts from school if I end up dropping out, is my top priority. All-in-all a trip should cost no more than €2000,-.
Major politicians and former ministers are being jeopardised and possibly have to resign. I'm talking about Mark Rutte (Prime Minister) and Lodewijk Asscher (Minister of Welfare).
It's a pretty big deal over here. The IRS isn't supposed to fuck up.
