Smallest desert in the world is in Dagestan.

MexicoBernd2020-08-19 21:04:30 · 6yNo. 99613reply
Yes, in San Luis Potosi.
I ended up meeting someone called "The chief of the desert".
The night sky was beautiful, never seen something like that before.
GermanyBernd2020-08-19 21:06:15 · 6yNo. 99614reply
Ive never seen a not light poluted night sky ;_;

Must been awesome to see the stars undisturbed by light. Can you also see nebulas?

Northern part of AZ is not really a desert. It's really pretty tbh.

How to cope with the temperatures? Must be hell to have a manual labor job.

Imagine being a roofer in that heat...

Yes, you can see the Orion nebulae. If you have a Camera and use long exposition you can get amazing pictures of it!
Aren't there places far away from any city in Germany?
United StatesBernd2020-08-19 21:21:59 · 6yNo. 99642reply
I got to see the milky way and shit in Northern Arizona. It was incredible.

Not really. You can see the stars pretty good on the countryside but you would never see nebulas with your bare eyes.
MexicoBernd2020-08-19 21:28:41 · 6yNo. 99647reply
Nice. I wonder how the nightsky might look in some place like Antarctica, where the atmosphere doesn't cause light distortion and there's literally no one for thousands of kilometres.
