just when i thought i had found a somewhat reasonably priced priced place to live, i move in and receive notice that the building has been bought at a trustee sale (basically legal term for bankrupt landlord forced to sell his property by the bank) and i have 20 days to move out
it is no wonder this country has so many insane people living on the streets, i may very well be one of them soon. getting real tired of this shit

>20 days to move out
That's crazy

yeah it's fucked up innit? and the bitch of a landlord was probably well aware he was going bankrupt and his property was going up for auction but he took my money anyway
maybe i have some legal recourse considering the timing of it but idk

Is it even possible to find a new home in twenty days? In Berlin it isn't lol

Isn't there anyone for you to sue in this situation? Aren't you American?

When I moved to my current city I had to AirBnb for two months until I found a place to rent permanently. Had to rent a selfstorage place additionally to temporarily store all my stuff.
It's easily possible to bridge a couple months like that. And not that much more expensive.

it is possible even in two days, but only if you don't mind living in a hovel with cockroaches and paying way more than it's worth

A hotel isn't a home.

Home is where my Desktop PC is.

How about sane people living on the streets?
