What really bothers me with chinese shows is how badly the characters are written.

Whatever donghua (2d or 3d) I try to watch, the characters are terrible, the story makes no sense, and usually the main character is overpowered which often is the entire plot.

It is hard to take serious.

Does Bernd know any good chinese show?

I watched Aiyou de Mishi recently. It was bretty good. The ending isn't very decisive but the characters are fine.

i think you can really see the chinese desire to stand out from the masses in their fantasy stories, which is rather sad

I am yet to see a chinese donghua where the MC is not OP.
