why doesnt the water in your body start boiling in a 100 degree sauna?
PolandBernd2023-05-23 12:40:27 · 3yNo. 271915reply
it does if you stay there long enough

define boiling.
If you put a bucket of water into a sauna it won't start to boil. Instead it will just evaporate until nothing is left. Boiling in the common sense usually requires heating water so fast that big bubbles of vapor start to form.

Isn't it suspicious that water boils at exactly 100°C and crystallises at 0°C?
isnt it ultimate and final proof that god exists??
GermanyBernd2023-05-24 14:21:59 · 3yNo. 272062reply
Actually water boils at 212°F and freezes at 32°F.

yes

I'm an engineer. I use whatever I have as long as I reach my goals. I'm not hindered by the scientific circlejerk, ideals or even ethics.
PolandBernd2023-05-24 15:10:42 · 3yNo. 272074reply
now I'm curious, have you ever encountered a situation where it was necessary or even convenient to use the Fahrenheit scale? because I have a couple of years of thermodynamics-related engineering under my belt and I don't recall it ever happening
GermanyBernd2023-05-24 15:18:24 · 3yNo. 272075reply
Sure. I’ve seen a youtube video that states that the ideal internal temperature to get juicy chicken breast is 155 F. This is way easier to remember than 68 Celsius.
Since my food thermometer defaults to Fahrenheit scale when it is put on I often just keep it there.

Life is too short to limit yourself to just one ideology. Also dry chicken breast sucks.

are you baking or frying them?

I do this:

The only difference I do is that I don't add spices besides salt before frying because they usually just burn in the pan.

baking weed cookies at 420°F is preferrable to 420°C

doesn't THC begin degrading well before reaching 420F?

1) yes but
2) same reason as why water doesn't boil in your body when you enter a sauna

I don't know mang. That's like 3.6* Fahrenheit difference, which sounds like quite a lot.
Yesterday I fried only the inner parts of the breast because I thought if I bought them this way I wouldn't have to butterfly the breast. Although I put them pretty precisely at 155°F out of the pan they got a little too chewy. I'd rather do 65°C instead of 70.
