United StatesWhy am I a magnet for schizosBernd2023-05-21 05:54:41 · 3yNo. 271640reply
Today I had my lunch interrupted by some schizo who reeked of weed. First he was like "hey brother, do you have the time?" I told him the time and he asked if he could sit for a second. Before I could answer, he sat down at my table and started rambling on about a bunch of shit. Mainly about his plans to get government funding for some crazy idea he had scribbled in his notebook.

Then he told me he could stare at the sun with no damage to his eyes because of Jesus or something. I barely remember what else he said but eventually I pretended someone was calling me so I could walk away. He shouted as I was leaving "it's alright, I'll still pray for you brother"

This is not an uncommon occurrence for me. I think it's because I'm too timid and Bernd to just tell them to fuck off outright.

I don't understand the situation. Where you were eating lunch? Was it a public place? If it's a restaurant they have the responsibility to make sure that you as a costumer shouldn't be bothered.

Oh right, sorry. I should have clarified that I was eating my lunch in a public park. Not at a restaurant

> First he was like "hey brother, do you have the time?" I told him the time
that was your mistake, you should never ever tell anyone the time

last time I fell for that the guy replied with "your watch is wrong, you cunt" and then started following me

if someone needs to know the time they usually have a phone or a watch on them, so the question is just an excuse to get your attention

Why you were eating lunch at the public park?

Yeah good point.

That guy sounds like a creep in my opinion. You should really avoid strangers... and don't take advice from people you don't know (Making this advice a paradox).
What does it matter to you?

Did you put the food on your knees to eat?
NetherlandsBernd2023-05-21 14:08:22 · 3yNo. 271693reply
Happens to me all the time. I met strangers who tried to make me believe in Krishna and some unknown Christian branches, strangers who tried to sell me weed and some less legal crap, a stranger who wanted my help in some plan to fight racism (it included infiltrating a police station...) and a stranger who asked me to join a punk rock band, and others. It's something with appearance I guess
PolandBernd2023-05-21 14:29:56 · 3yNo. 271696reply
have you joined the band?
NetherlandsBernd2023-05-21 14:43:57 · 3yNo. 271697reply
No, I'm no musician and I didn't find music the stranger took inspiration from any good. I told him I don't have time for that right now iirc.

Because eating your lunch in a park by yourself is strange. It's no surprise a schizo hobo went to speak with op. This information was crucial.

It's really not. They have tables for a reason

Yes, even national parks. I have eaten lunch at this very bench a few years ago at Olympic national park.

And while looking for this pic I discover that the building to the right burned down just two weeks ago and the area is closed indefinitely. Very sad.

But when you said park, I imagined a city park, not a forest park. Like some kind of garden besides a square, with benches and tables where old people play chess.
