Corona in Germany is now officially and finally over. Germany‘s top virologist Drosten said that the pandemic is over and starting in February the last mask mandates in public transportation will be lifted. It took us three full years and I think it’s safe to say that all countries, especially Germany, failed at crisis management miserably.

Dunno about Germany but im sick for 10 days already and i had all the gorona symptoms.

I got infected 3 weeks ago, those were some quite unpleasant two weeks and today I am still coughing a little bit here and there and have a weird feeling in my throat. There is absolutely no reason for people not to wear masks in certain environments/situations and wash their hands and be cautious during winter, even if it is only to avoid getting a flu. It was great to not get sick all these years when everybody was scared.

Many were sick in my city lately. It lasts for about 15 days, so you are almost through.

Really nasty variation this time around, keeps you impaired for much longer.

You officially failed the Pisa-Test. He never said it, you just din´t understand what he said. Maybe you could read the interview again and think about it.

He expects it, which is the scientific way of saying it’s over.
>"Was ich gesagt habe, ist: Ich erwarte, dass die jetzt kommende Winterwelle eher eine endemische Welle sein wird (...) und dass damit dann die Pandemie vorbei ist."

"Corona in Germany is now officially and finally over" ≠ " die jetzt kommende Winterwelle eher eine endemische Welle sein wird"

I looked at the page and picked up:
>Germany is now officially and finally over
What a disappointment I had when I read the whole thing.

You completely ignored the lifting of the measures apparently.

excess mortality seems like a good indicator to me

tbh I'd look at ratio between productivity lost and excess mortality
the more you did but the less you achieved, the more you failed
GermanyBernd2023-01-15 15:26:39 · 3yNo. 249184reply
How will you count future productivity lost through long covid? Look at the rise of disabled people in GB because of long covid. They are not productive nor do they consume despite some basic medical stuff. Preventing infections is an investment for the future.
