I can't wait to move out in a year and leave the sonbasket behind me. I'm so excited to finally take my life into my own hands. I'm already imagining all the things I could do. The biggest thing for me is leaving Germany, I'm unsure, whether it's a good plan. It shoul be well prepared as it would be a life-changing step. Maybe I will even find a girl in the future, who knows? Probably not, who am I kidding. ;_; It's good to have a future and plans, Bernd. That shit keeps you alive.

Oh, based on your post I just reread my post and realized that I made it sound like it's a fixed thing. Right now, it's just an idea in my head and I'm unsure, whether I should take this step. Germany has been a good country to grown up in, but I don't know, if it's also a good country to grow old. Leaving Germany would also be an exciting adventure. Where I would leave to, I have absolutely no clue.

Which country would you consider if you were to move?
FinlandBernd2023-01-14 21:17:02 · 3yNo. 249081reply
Switzerland maybe?
Or somewhere in Asia eventually?

Switzerland is alright, but they’re very racist against Germans.

Why do you want to leave your country? any family problem? Or do you just want to enjoy traveling the world?

It's a big fallacy to think that once you move to a different place that your life will magically improve somehow. You can sit in your flat and lurk on the internet the whole day and be miserable regardless of the place.
But moving out from your parents is always good. It gives you a different perspective on things.

can't say much about moving to other country since my experience wasn't that pleasant (still hate it here but i don't have any other place to go) but definitely moving out of parents is a big huge step so congrats and glück Bernd!

you'll learn alot of things about yourself, and may you face the challenges and become a better person for it <3

I really believe this to be good advice. Place only defines you so much. Healthy habits and mental state are beneficial.

No those are important. I think the concept of just moving to someplace and expecting a change of scenery to magically fix problems is a common and misplaced notion.
