Perhaps there, here geography is complex. The place with the best people (coast) has the worst nature, basically desert and desert hills. The good places in the coast are the beaches and the valleys.
The highlands has awesome nature, beautiful valleys, beautiful lakes, but the weather gets awful in certain seasons and you can get landslide. Also if you go too high to the puna geography sucks. The people suck, they are indomestizos that believe that are pure blooded Amerindians, they are leftists, hate people that are different than them (not so brown), are ignorant, xenophobic, they have low intelligence and are resentful (like the other Peruvian in this thread). Also they get used by corrupt leftist politicians and after that they chimp out and blame the capital city. In terms of human capital they are the lowest (in Spanish we would say lastre).
East geography sucks if you are in the Amazonia (selva baja), soil too acid, too much trees, too much insects, too much humidity. Mountain jungle is beautiful. People from mountain jungle are usually ok except that there is a lot of narcotraffic going on there on some places. People from the Amazonia are friendly and they speak with a funny accent.
With that being said, every place here has beautiful landscapes and although I like spending some time in the countryside it gets boring quickly, those stimulus vanish after some time. And people from the countryside migrate because the opportunities are scarce, places are boring, people just leave and the quality of life is extremely bad. Funny how the provinciano (other Peruvian) shared a link of how Lima is a bad place to live because despite that it is the best place to live in Peru (that’s why people from outside keep coming here) and beats all other places in almost every indicator except quality of the air, traffic and thievery. You mentioned ideologies, here sadly as being the capital and biggest city this is our port to the “West” so here you will find those degenerates that you mentioned but here most limeños are conservative actually.
