Maybe there is some hierarchical dimorphism thing going on, where the ruling caste grows long hair, beards etc. and the average worker ant is clean-shaven and short-haired.

Hmm, but how do we account for the vaguely insectoid qualities of their appearance and demeanour, as well as their well attested predisposition towards being contrarian on the Internet? Is Sam Hyde even an actual legit rightwing guy? I know he donated to that Storm whatever it is called magazine thing, but after I have seen a documentary about him I think he just did that for memes and attention and is just an overall troll who doesn't give a fuck who didn't mind getting the Trumptard audience after the big pol storm in 2016. He's just smoking weed all the time and hanging out with teenagers, he also lives in one of the wealthiest states of the US

It's hard to say. I haven't followed the developments too closely from some moment onwards, but the opinion I formed is that in the beginning (when he launched MDE and WP) he was definitely just trolling, early South Park style, although there was some palpable resentment towards artsy-fartsy stuff and people associated with it and I think this was the germ of his getting deep into the schizo sections of the online right and he basically "memebrained" himself to death, so to speak, after which point it's basically impossible to tell what he really thinks (many such cases).

 

I have a rather utilitarian attitude to politics and for me it doesn't really matter what someone's ideological motivations are, only what his/her actions result in - because of the audience he cultivated, functionally he had as much of a malignant influence on the online political discourse as Yarvin, BAP (or, on the left side, the broads from Red Scare or chapofags) etc.

There's literally nothing substantial about "rightwing" and "leftwing" other than picking the team you're playing.

So yes, he is a legit "rightwing guy", simply because of his choice of team.
