No, but as a trve weeb I had to get one and am glad I did so ever since.
Jasmin rice, thoroughly rinsed, with a good flake of butter, minced garlic and salt is so delicious from it, you could eat that stuff plain.
Also when I still made it in a pot, it mostly got mushy, not delicate grainy and al dente.
But my magical rice cooker makes it just perfect every time.
Just don't fall for the Zojirushi meme, the export ones are cheaply made in China despite having a premium price.
Also for rice and lentils:
Good, yet the lentils subjugate the fine taste of Jasmin rice, so I may stick to not mix that up or use cheaper Basmati rice for that.
Germans do cook a lot with lentils, right? Any Germ may suggest me a delicious lentil dish?
