I have used GrapheneOS before, but if you're not a schizo, there aren't many advantages of it.

Yes, it's more bothersome. You can't install some apps, because they require Google services or can't be installed on a custom ROM.

There is this for the google services: https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play and there are ways to skip the checks apps do too. But I understand it can be bothersome to most people.

I am not poor and I still use Android. I have an iPhone 13 lying around, but don't use it really. I prefer the Android experience.

I decided to try Apple again after they mugged me my Samsung Galaxy J-something last year. I used Android for about 6 or 7 years before that. Last time I had an Aplple phone was an iPhone 4 that a went away with a crooked cop.
