See, that's where I differ. I think, Germans voted for Hitler because of Hitler and not because of National Socialism. The Left lacked such a charismatic leader like Hitler, so I doubt people would have voted for the KPD instead. SPD maybe, but not this many people. Without the NSDAP there would have been just more nonvoters.

There have been thousands of charismatic and influential people throughout history, some make it, some don't.
