I don't have a general practicioner/family doctor, which is why I will call my health insurance tomorrow, so they find me one. I want to do a general health check-up to see whether I'm sick or something. Please rate my plan.

GermanyBernd2022-06-06 19:41:03 · 4yNo. 162542reply
I lost weight, my hair is starting to fall out and I have trouble sleeping sometimes, so I just want to see, if everything's alright.

I'm sorry to read that.
Do you eat healthy? Do you notice any kind of physical pain, or do you just feel depressed?
I hope your problem is solved soon.

>Do you eat healthy?
I would say so, at least average, not too unhealthy.
>Do you notice any kind of physical pain
No, none at all.
>do you just feel depressed?
You mean psychologically or physically? Most of the time I feel good enough.

Well, then the only thing you need to worry about is your weight loss. Are you sure there isn't a logical reason for it?

Thought so as well, I mean, what are usually reasons for weight loss? I don't do any sports at all and I haven't changed my diet in the last year or so, I don't take any medicine, so I really don't know. Don't get me wrong, I'm not underweight or anything, I weight around 76kg at a height of 182cm.

Overactive thyroid possibly.
Do you have any other of the following symptoms?
- nervousness, anxiety and irritability
- mood swings
- persistent tiredness and weakness
- sensitivity to heat
- swelling in your neck from an enlarged thyroid gland (goitre)
- an irregular and/or unusually fast heart rate (palpitations)
- twitching or trembling

Just get a blood test.

I asked you this because from what I know, weight loss for no apparent reason could be a symptom of something serious.
In any case, I am not a doctor and I only hope that your situation improves soon.

>weight loss for no apparent reason could be a symptom of something serious
If OP is 60yo maybe, if he is <30yo it will be nothing serious in 99% of cases
