Don't underestimate their fear. They've already had a few counter demonstrations in numerous cities. If they become violent, well, I'm unsure if that will be published or heard about. At the moment all is peaceful except a few supposed anti-mandate demonstrators being arrested storing guns in their vehicles over in Alberta.
We're in a provincial and federal election year, so I reckon it is in the best interests of politicians to either keep their disillusioned voting blocs in happy rows otherwise this will continue to slip down the slope.
I thank d-g most colleges and universities have already annulled their requirements to attend on campus classes but that is only a sign of the provincial legislator easing off a bit. It's too soon to say if we're going to rebound into restrictive positions and reintroduce our failed vaccine pass system.
At the moment the largest issue is the federal government consolidating their fragmented pieces of power. With the community war measures act contested in a few courts and delays being an inevitable, there could be further havoc as this broad application of the law is applied to neutral citizens and those who do not align with the current party standards.
The media will eventually lose a few visits when their reporting of the pandemic wanes and as that happens, what topic of interest arises to blind us is anyone's guess.
