For a short period of time I have felt what it felt like to be in balance together, and it was wonderful. I remember those days fondly. The two opposites together will form a third, godlike being.

Reality: your 20s are dedicated to wageslaving, grinding your body into the dirt for money, crushing loneliness, no frens, and overall hating your life so your 30s won’t be so terrible

People who tell you these lies do so to maintain the facade so you don’t rebel

That or it’s by dumb bydlo who can’t even hold a job and just spend all their money doing drugs and partying to dull the realization they will never make it

Not to say your 30s will get any better, but you’ll have money and it will be easier for you to upward mobilize in your career than in your 20s.

 

The fact is, your late teens to early 20s (ie graduating uni) are the best years you have and unfortunately for most bernd’s, we waste them as well

I remember when I had a “gf” and felt genuinely happy and optimistic about life just for a short time

Sad that’s over and doesn’t look like it will return anytime soon

The time from 20 to 30 felt shorter than from 16 to 20. Shit's fucked. Just thinking about how fast the 30s will be over terrifies me.

 

I often hear that time flies because you don't have many new experiences as you get older but in the 20s I still had so many big changes in my life and time still zoomed by.

I was told it's because the brain stores fewer episodic memories or mental images after 20
