I'm a university student. They have a hotline to call for psychological help helpers. I did so today, had a 10 minute talk and we agreed a real first meeting with a therapist might be in order. I then send an e-mail asking for such an appointment.
That's all that happened today.
I also spoke to my general pracititioner a few days ago about thinking about needing therapy when I came for an unrelated health problem. He immediately gave me a recipe to seek a therapist. I'd need to find one myself but haven't done so already because I called the uni person first.
Took me a lot of courage but went very well once I actually did it.
