Linkedin keeps informing me that "I have 36 unread notifications" or "17 people are noticing me" or that "I appeared in 5 searches this week" and yet my linkedin is half empty and i'm ashamed of how terrible it looks
How am I to manage?
Dad told me I should have a linkedin because I will not find a job otherwise.
I have send a grand total of ONE (1) job application (not on linkedin) and the boss seems so eager to see me that he is messaging me first about coming to job interviews (breaking my depression bouts when I know I should message him but I can't be arsed to).
It feels like I'm living on a complete different planet from those bugman strivers.
similars happened to me before, i sent 1 application and after a week i was invited to a MS teams meeting with 3 old guys who all were telling me how much they want me in their company
i laugh at people polishing their linked in accounts, its like these guys on tinder who follow 10000 guidelines on how to make the perfect profile to get more responses from females
Tbh, if I were the one picking colleagues for my team, I'd cross out anything that comes across as a tryhard. Wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly why tryhards who follow all the guidelines have such a hard time lol, they prefer to pick someone with a half-assed CV that says "oh btw I did this and that too" like it's nothing
