Last year I did a complete overhaul and started paying a lot of attention to my wardrobe and updated it completely. Feels good, but it gets expensive. But I really love the transformation.
I also "value" clothes differently depending on what its purpose is; things that get sweaty like socks, boxers and t-shirts I buy as cheap as possible because they need to be washed all the time after 1 days use. The other stuff like pants and long sleeved shirts I am more careful with and avoid washing. Washing them will remove colour and wear them down quicker.
Good quality jackets and shoes are definitely worth the investment and will last long and I take care of them.
It's a shame how easily one overdresses here and I feel out of place, so I have to tone it down all the time and dress more casually.
