Since when did Halloween become an international thing? I remember as a kid going to visit family in France (~2005 or so) and they complained that Halloween was an idiotic, commercial, and above all else a nonsensical American holiday and thank god it wasn't in Europe.
Now I see my cousins in Australia, China, and Belgium dressing up their kids and sending them to strangers doors to get candy.
When America falls is this her legacy? A holiday where one dresses up in a silly costume to get small pieces of candy from strangers?
