FinlandBullet JournalsBernd2020-10-10 15:51:11 · 6yNo. 103415reply
I'm sorry Bernd, I tried but failed.

I can't stand my own scribbles and drawings in the 2 bullet journals started this year. I hate drawing writing out the months, drawing boxes and god forbid scripting the headers.

The two notebooks helped me back into daily journaling, which might turn out useful after this exceptional year. Will still write in the current BuJo until NYE, just so that I don't feel as if I have wasted a perfectly good notebook by leaving in 'unfinished'.

But it's back to readymade planners for OP, a cheap (but ridiculously hard to find) Muji planner and a generic notebook for 2021.

What the fuck is OP talking about might Bernd ask?

Bullet Journal Method:

I just use halved a4 papper sheets to write down whatever i need and throw them in a box after i dont need them.
I think such journals is kinda autism but maybe they have some purpose unknown to me.

Do you ever revisit the box?

>kinda autism
Nah, it’s type-A personality thing. I NEED to have my important information easily accessible and organized, very frustating if it’s not.

The creator of Bullet Journal had his own fair share of problems growing up with ADHD:

I'm type S cause I can keep everything in my memory (almost).
But I don't have a lot of shit to do so maybe that's why.
>Do you ever revisit the box?
Yes, I enjoy observing and revising my work a lot, It's a good habit which makes you learn better.

S?

It must be a pain in the ass to move house with the box. Also, we’ve had this discussion before :D

Its a small box xD

>Also, we’ve had this discussion before :D
Really? I can't remember, maybe it was another guy.

Ach Bernd...

It was on kohl or Kraut but if not, there is a Russian dude with a eerily similar organization system.

>Ach Bernd...
It's just I have most of my shit written down digitally, I only use analog for certain shit which isn't plain text.

I see, it wasn't me

Jealous tbh, tried to go full digital again this year and failed miserably. Still going to migrate my years worth of OneNote to a better app, that’s non-negotiable. What’s your digital system, a folder on your desktop you throw files in? :D

>It wasn’t me
Oh shoot, you should meet.

It took me a long time to be comfortable starting fresh notebooks for anything. Now I find it invaluable. I use them for my music making. I take notes of all the notes, sounds, etc.

You lying bastard, we have talked before somewhere :D

Well being vagabond your daily data footprint must be tiny.

I also started a journal.

I have so many where I wrote exactly one page and then let it sit somewhere to rot, a sad reminder of my inconsistency.

But this time, the intention of my journal is to untangle the mental depths of my autistic ass mind.

Thanks for reminding me, I will write into it right now

You need adhd medication more than journal

Yup, in the light of recent info-security häppenigs in Finland, I will stick to paper for now. Fuck databases and cloud storage, I rather have everything in a notebook I can guard with my life.

My journal is gonna be published whenever i find the time to make my own paper. Who's gonna read it, I have no idea but I will make mad all.
