West german Jägerschnitzel. The sauce on the Eact Noodles look pig disgusting

Multiple surprises:

 

1) How can anyone consider the eactern abomination as "tasty"?

2) What is lörs onion on German style Schnitzel with mushroom sauce vs Austrian style Schnitzel without any kind of sauce? I thought you Austrians all considered Schnitzel with sauce disgusting.

I'm some filthy America, but damn, the west german one looks pretty good.

Unfortunately, this specific example of a west jägerschnitzel makes a crucial mistake. Schnitzel should be served with the sauce in a sauciere, to keep the breading crispy.

First of all, I am not Austrian.

Secondly schnitzel is nothing more but chicken filet fried. It is part of generic European cousine.

I like mushroom sauce. And I still would eat thing from eactern Germany. It is just that meat is some processed sausage instead of normal meat like on the right page. It looks more like American cousin but I would still eat that.

 

It shows. A real austrian would've said it was made out of veal.

It's impossible to find more appealing pics of eactern "Jägerschnitzel".

 

It's not often done, though. I have eaten dozens of western Jägerschnitzels and they almost always put the sauce on the plate. It's usually fine, though, if it is served right away.

 

I'm reporting you to Austrian police right now. You will probably be executed.

I just watched a video about Cuba tonight where the tourists went to a restaurant and they were served spaghetti and ketchup. Why are ML states like this with food.

They didn't have normal meat available for the plebs so they breaded a piece of sausage and used that instead.

...but on Wect, availability of good ingredients wasn't such a problem.

Idk how it was before 1990, but on Wect Jägerschnitzel is a normal thing you can get at a restaurant. Not much cheaper or more expensive than other stuff. I doubt it was ever an oligarch food.

Honestly, I would rather have knödel and nockerl with gulasch. Followed by a desert of reisauflauf.

In Australia, a lot of people like to put cheese and tomato sauce on chicken schnitzels.

It looks A LOT like something served in a Soviet cafeteria, except for the katsup.

The chicken goes with anything. Sometimes had it with pesto sauce.

in the US, we call it "country-fried steak" and sometimes "chicken-fried steak" (as in "steak fried in the manner of chicken", it's actually beef)

I know, I know. But for some reason, it's Australians favourite schnitzel meat.
