What are lörs thought about veganism and vegetarianism?
BerndBernd2020-08-28 17:24:57 · 6yNo. 100215reply
i saw that movie about meat production and it was horrible so i sorta understand that if that is the moto, maybe some day i will even consider abandoning meat.
FinlandBernd2020-08-28 17:37:59 · 6yNo. 100216reply
Is it true that water lentils contain b12 that's usable by humans? If yes then veganism doesn't seem like such a joke anymore
GermanyBernd2020-09-02 15:00:11 · 6yNo. 100651reply
Idk about that, but I'm trying to count calories and proteins in my diet right now and when I don't have meat I have to be really careful to get enough protein. Almost impossible without animal products for me. I imagine vegans have to eat shitloads of weird foods like lentils or protein powder or just not have enough protein.
FinlandBernd2020-09-02 16:58:15 · 6yNo. 100656reply
Actually a ton of veggie products contain a ton of protein, eg. hemp, chia seeds, seaweed and others

Vegetarianism = good
Veganism = dangerous due to ideology
Vegan women = mental
GermanyBernd2020-09-02 17:50:26 · 6yNo. 100668reply
I have never eaten anything that contained hemp or chia seeds and seaweed only in very limited numbers.
GermanyBernd2020-09-02 19:15:07 · 6yNo. 100679reply
you cannot live a good life without eating eggs
GermanyBernd2020-09-02 21:07:35 · 6yNo. 100705reply
Probably true.
Tomorrow I will most likely cook fried potatoes and onions in butter and eat with scrambled eggs. Unless I decide last minute to get a steak.

I can understand and accept many arguments for veganism/vegetarianism: Eco-friendliness, health reasons, etc. But those aren't arguments to NEVER eat animal products imo. Only being opposed to eating animals because you see them having the same rights as humans are. And that is mental illness imo.

It's eco-friendly to keep animal populations at a certain constant

Kind of miss that militant vegan schizo from Chile. Annoying poster but a reliable presence also

I dont know if you can get enough vitamins etc. to stay healthy.

I mean i heard stories about children growing up vegan and they are pretty much years behind the normal growth rate of a child their age. You dont need meat every day but once or twice a week is necessary i think.
GermanyBernd2020-09-03 00:28:43 · 6yNo. 100835reply
From what I’ve read it is possible to be healthy long term on a began diet, but you basically need to be a nutrition scientist and put in a crazy amount of effort. Idk about children, though. I wouldn’t risk it. My own health comes first.
United StatesBernd2020-09-07 22:41:25 · 6yNo. 101574reply
you can probably save a lot a money just eating vegetables and pastas, then add eggs and milk for extra protein
i don't really like the idea of a strict vegan diet or lifestyle, as it is too restrictive. a lot of "normal" foods have eggs or milk in them
GermanyBernd2020-09-07 22:52:48 · 6yNo. 101575reply
In terms of saving money vegetarian is really the way to go. Some veggies/potatos with fried eggs is one of my go to meals. Also: Preparing meat often takes a bit more effort.

I would eat vat grown meat or go full vegan if it was possible. Unfortunately I can not feed myself and depend on either my mother's cooking or the uni cafeteria for sustenance.

Once corona is over at some point and I can move out, I will start by learning basic cooking skills and then jump right into to vegan bug-eater eco-fascist.
GermanyBernd2020-09-12 01:50:01 · 6yNo. 101778reply
Why not learn basic cooking skills now? You can make good stuff like baked potatoes easily.

Well that's hyperbole, I will make my own dinner tomorrow after asking her permission today. Chicken with noodles, yummy.

That doesn't sound healthy tbh.

I think meat has become for me a special treat rather than something which should be consumed with every meal. That way there is less waste. I save all the offcuts to use in soups and things. I think meat has become too mundane. There is less demand for things like offal because everyone wants their perfect cut of chicken breast or beef steak.
