Interesting, never heard before. They seem to sing a lot. Have to ponder on this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUwxKWT6m7U
rate my gayness out of 10

>>246044
Let's see, mass produced generic soulless pop music meant for young girls. I rate it gaysheep/10

>>246045
>soulless
wow easy there she has a lot of soul especially during the beginning of her career which that song was from
I agree some of her newer stuff, excluding her absolutely most recent album, were kinda soulless mainstream sheep stuff but that doesn't negate the fact that it was pretty good in the earlier stages
I'm not exactly a music expert or anything but I think it's pretty good

>>246047
Did she ever make her own stuff or was it always written by someone else? She is a product meant to sell by the record company. Just like all other pop stars, she is a hired performer who performs other peoples songs bought by her record company with a planned target audience and a planned career.

>>246047
You don't have to justify you in front of everybody. If you enjoy her music, so be it. Doesn't matter if Finnish music nerds agree.

>>246049
I think that during her early career she had a lot of influence over the songs she made, pretty sure she wrote them and maybe even produced part of it. Some artists are completely incapable of making anything and never write or produce anything, basically just singing with barely any influence and leave everything to the pros. I don't know for sure whether she still does, but I am pretty confident in the fact that in the beginning she was responsible for most of the music she made. She's actually pretty talented naturally, I think it was one of the main reasons why she got as famous as she did, she impressed a lot of people with her musical abilities, and still does. It's very difficult to know exactly how much mainstream artists contribute to the music that is made, but I would go as far as saying that most of them don't do a lot, but I don't think that applies to Taylor's entire career, I would say it went a bit back and forth, maybe she wrote most of the stuff but left the melodies to other people.

>>246049
>i-its not artistry if you don't write the songs yourself!!!!!
Dumbass position.
The greatest musician in my country (Vlado Kreslin) didn't write most of his songs. Instead he has a background songwriter (who plays the guitar in the backing band) who writes most of his songs for him. Does that make him any less genuine? No, because most of the ideas for the songs are still his. They're literally taken from his own and his family's life and history. Miro Tomassini is just the magician that turns them into final products.

>>246050
A self respecting adult needs to have some standards. Liking mass produced garbage that is meant to sell for low IQ masses and small children should be an alarming sign for oneself.
>>246052
If she does the music herself then it is fine and you should ignore my rambling, but I suggest you do some proper research on her.
>>246055
>Dumbass position.
Ironic, since you are the dumbass here. Do you find yourself to be an artist by singing Christmas carrols made by someone else?
>The greatest musician in my country (Vlado Kreslin) didn't write most of his songs.
The standards there seems to be very low. I'm sorry.

>>246056
<A self respecting adult needs to have some standards. Liking mass produced garbage that is meant to sell for low IQ masses and small children should be an alarming sign for oneself.
who gives a fuck, it's just a song that he listened to, not his career and lifestyle

>>246060
Oneself should give a fuck. Do you watch teletubbies too?

>>246056
My post is based on speculation alone, it's actually impossible to know exactly how much influence each artist have over the music they put out, it's a trade secret and it is kept that way intentionally so that there's more information left out and more for people to wonder about. That being said, however, I've been exposed to rumors that say that Taylor was a driving force behind the music that was put out under her name, and due to this, if she had a great amount of influence over it, then it wouldn't surprise me. I mean, she's not a regular artist and is considered an icon for many female fans out there, the entire legacy she has is based around the idea that she is a very capable person, and if she didn't write her own stuff or helped produce, then that reputation wouldn't have been genuine, which I think it is.
Certain artists live and breathe music, and have for all of their lives, while others just see it as a way of making money and don't really care that much about how much influence they have over their music, it varies quite a lot. Musical artists are very different from eachother, it's actually a pretty interesting topic to talk about because most people really don't know and some don't even care about that.

>>246061
what's the harm if it relaxes him?

Well, you can upload rips made with other programs as well, but generally you don't want to, because only with EAC you can make rips with 100% logs.

>>250179
Yeah.
Don't worry, I'll set it up properly first. Less worries that way.
I won't be at home over the weekend tho.
I understand I need to be active at least once in 120 days, right? There's no penalty if I take a wait first after joining?
I also have some interesting local stuff I will probably share eventually...

>I understand I need to be active at least once in 120 days, right?
Yes. And no, there's no penalty, if you don't use your account immediately. Although it's probably best to snatch something rather sooner than later to show some activity (just keep an eye on your ratio).
>I also have some interesting local stuff I will probably share eventually...
Nice, I'm looking forward to that. I upload CD rips and Bandcamp purchases sometimes as well, it's fun sharing music and filling requests and such.

>>250186
Yeah. I noticed I get 5 gigs headstart. Which is cool.
Btw all this reminded me, I should probably go through my grandpa's old vinyl collection.

>>250188
People get very autistic about vinly rips as well lmao. I have done one of an obscure anime OP, but ripping vinyls is too much of a hassle to do it more often. I also sold my vinyl player again.

Jewish and gypsy style romance songs were the coolest music back in the USSR. Actually, the Russian gangster chanson was Jewish.

Why don't you torrent music?

>>250756
I have some albums and bootlegs downloaded but I find spotify to be more convenient because it lets me play music on different devices (and even switch devices mid-song which I often do); nowadays I mostly torrent movies

>>250757
What will you do when Spotify stops working though? How will you listen to music then?

>>250761
Why would Spotify stop working?

>>250762
Technical faults probably. They stop working once in a while. Their business model will fail eventually as well.

Music streaming will always exist in some form. It might get more and more expensive but you can always look for alternatives once we are getting there.

>>250761
easy, I'll use deezer then; seriously though, I'm perfectly capable of downloading and transferring music to my devices, I'm just being lazy and I like my spotify playlists and recommendations too much

Do you use Linux or Windows?

>>251048
I gave up on getting it to work on Linux and am looking to install it on my Windows boot.

>>251067
On Linux you just have to install Wine and maybe winetricks to install mono2.0. Most steps from the RED tutorial are unnecessary.

I'm sure you'll figure it out soon
